MadisonAveGifts.com began in 1999, located in Upstate NY, and was created by Joan Smith, a second generation family-owned giftware business owner. Joan's mother, Mrs. Piazza opened The Cardinal Shoppe in Watertown, NY several years ago in 1982, carrying unusual giftware, children's clothing and decorative home accessories, which attracted customers state-wide and of course Canada, our Northern neighbor.

Mrs. Smith decided to attract a national customer base, thus becoming one of the first luxury online websites, without a "bricks and mortar" companion. Our main goal is to bring to you, our customer, unique giftware items, with a midtown Manhattan flavor, thus is why we call ourselves MadisonAveGifts.com. Our products are distributed out of our Watertown, NY facility. Each and every gift item that leaves our warehouse is carefully inspected and packed to ensure your satisfaction.

We are growing in leaps and bounds and getting national attention, seeing our products appearing in Coastal Living magazine, House Beautiful, Country Living, etc. However, our most rewarding and meaningful experience is meeting all of you along the way.
